Races on the Gwinnett Ballot

School Board

The Gwinnett County Board of Education governs one of the largest school systems in the country. Members elected by district set curriculum, budgets, school safety, and parents'-rights policy. School Board races have become ground zero for debates over race, gender, and academic content.

Sheriff

The Gwinnett County Sheriff is an elected constitutional officer running the jail, court security, and warrant service. The race has drawn national scrutiny and heavy spending as candidates debate immigration enforcement, 287(g), and jail policy.

Judicial Races

Gwinnett voters elect Superior Court, State Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, and Juvenile Court judges. Nonpartisan judicial contests appear on the ballot alongside primaries and general elections, and every seat shapes how crime, family, and probate cases are decided locally.

State House & Senate

Gwinnett spans a large share of Georgia General Assembly districts. State House and Senate races here decide control of state law on elections, taxes, education, and crime — and Gwinnett's swing has tipped the balance under the Gold Dome in recent cycles.

Congressional Districts

Redistricting split Gwinnett across several U.S. House districts. WorthFighting.org tracks every congressional race that includes Gwinnett precincts, the candidates, their voting records, and where America First voters should focus.

Early Voting

Georgia offers advance in-person voting before every election at designated Gwinnett locations. We post advance-voting dates, locations, hours, and turnout as they're announced by the county elections office.

Election Day

Election Day polls in Georgia open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Voters in line by 7:00 p.m. may stay and vote. We track Election Day turnout, problems at the polls, and results as they're reported.

Candidate Profiles

We profile the candidates on your Gwinnett ballot — their records, donors, endorsements, and positions on the issues that matter to conservative voters.

Endorsements

Conservative endorsements can move close Gwinnett races. We track who's backing whom — from local GOP committees and grassroots groups to national organizations.

Campaign Finance

Follow the money. We report Gwinnett candidates' fundraising, spending, top donors, and independent expenditures as campaign finance disclosures are filed with the state and county.

Election Results

Live and certified results for every Gwinnett race — County Commission, School Board, Sheriff, judicial, state legislative, and congressional — plus precinct-level maps and turnout.

Voter Registration

Register, check your registration, and find your polling place through the Georgia My Voter Page (MVP). We list deadlines and links before every Gwinnett election.

Ballot Measures

Gwinnett voters decide local ballot questions — SPLOST, E-SPLOST, and other referendums — that shape taxes and infrastructure. We explain each measure and what a yes or no vote means.

County Commission

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners sets the county budget, property tax rate, and policy on growth, public safety, and services. Five members — a chair elected countywide and four district commissioners — face voters on staggered four-year cycles. Control of the commission has shifted in recent cycles, making every district race consequential.

Election Integrity

Election integrity in Gwinnett County is overseen by the Board of Registrations and Elections, which maintains voter rolls, certifies results, and adjudicates voter challenges. Georgia law allows any registered voter to challenge another voter's registration — a process that has drawn grassroots attention in Gwinnett.

Georgia uses a verified paper-ballot system with post-election risk-limiting audits. Every vote produces a paper record that can be recounted. Certification is a public process — results are not official until the board certifies them.

Sample Ballot

Your sample ballot shows every race and candidate specific to your registered address. Because Gwinnett is split across multiple congressional and legislative districts, your ballot may differ from a neighbor's even within the same city.

View your official sample ballot on the Georgia My Voter Page (MVP) — the authoritative source. Sample ballots are typically available a few weeks before each election.

Georgia law allows you to bring a marked sample ballot or notes into the voting booth. Reviewing your ballot in advance saves time and helps you make informed decisions.
