Newsroom Transparency

Editorial Standards & Transparency

WorthFighting.org publishes conservative and America First news, analysis, opinion, civic information, and political coverage. We are not politically neutral — but having a clear editorial perspective does not remove the obligation to report facts accurately, cite sources, correct mistakes, and distinguish news from opinion.

Our Editorial Mission

WorthFighting.org exists to inform readers, encourage civic involvement, and examine issues affecting American communities. We provide reporting and commentary from a conservative and America First perspective.

We believe that an informed citizenry is essential to a free republic. Our coverage focuses on the policies, leaders, and debates that shape the direction of the United States — from Congress and the courts to statehouses and local communities.

"What Are You Fighting For?"

That question guides everything we publish. We are not politically neutral, and we do not pretend to be. But having a clear editorial perspective does not remove the obligation to report facts accurately, cite sources, correct mistakes, and distinguish news from opinion. These standards exist to hold us accountable to our readers.

News, Analysis, and Opinion Labels

Every article published on WorthFighting.org is labeled with a content type so readers can immediately understand what they are reading. These labels appear near the headline on every article page.

News

Straightforward factual reporting of current events.

Local News

Reporting focused on a specific city, county, or state.

Breaking News

Rapidly developing stories reported as events unfold.

Analysis

Examination of context, causes, or implications. May include the author's informed interpretation.

Opinion

The author's viewpoint, argument, or commentary. Reflects opinion, not objective reporting.

Explainer

Background context that helps readers understand a complex topic.

Election Coverage

Reporting and analysis related to elections, campaigns, and voting.

Fact Check

Assessment of specific claims for accuracy, with evidence and sources.

Opinion articles are always clearly labeled "Opinion." Analysis articles are always clearly labeled "Analysis." News articles are not presented as opinion unless they are properly labeled.

Sourcing Standards

Factual claims published on WorthFighting.org should be supported by reliable sources whenever possible. When we reference a fact, statistic, quotation, or finding, we aim to cite the original source so readers can verify it themselves.

Preferred sources include:

  • Official government records
  • Court filings and opinions
  • Congressional records
  • Election agencies
  • Public data
  • Direct statements
  • Reputable news organizations
  • On-the-record interviews
  • Original documents

Anonymous or unverified social-media claims should not be presented as confirmed facts. When a claim is disputed or unverified, we label it as such.

Source links are displayed at the bottom of applicable articles so readers can review the original material.

Corrections Policy

WorthFighting.org corrects meaningful factual errors transparently. When we identify a factual error in a published article, we take the following steps:

  • Keep the original article URL — we do not delete corrected articles
  • Update the article content to be accurate
  • Add a visible correction notice explaining what was wrong and what was changed
  • Include the date the correction was made
  • Update the article's dateModified structured-data value so search engines reflect the corrected version

A public log of published corrections is available on our Corrections page.

Updates Policy

There is an important difference between a correction and a routine update.

Corrections address factual errors — something that was wrong has been fixed. These always carry a visible correction notice.

Updates add new information, context, or developments to an already-accurate article. When an article is meaningfully updated, we display an "Updated" notice with the date and a short explanation of what changed.

Minor spelling, formatting, or typographical changes do not require a public notice. These do not change the meaning or accuracy of the content.

Artificial Intelligence Policy

WorthFighting.org may use AI-assisted tools in our editorial workflow. AI tools can help with:

  • Research organization
  • Draft assistance
  • Summarization
  • Headline suggestions
  • SEO metadata
  • Image generation
  • Content formatting

AI-generated output should not be treated as automatically verified. Factual claims, quotations, dates, names, statistics, and source links generated or suggested by AI require human review before publication.

We do not claim that every article was personally fact-checked unless that is true. The editorial status of each article is tracked internally, and articles marked as "Fact Checked" or "Approved" have been reviewed by an editor.

When an article's featured image was generated using AI, that disclosure appears in the image credit line beneath the image.

Image and Media Policy

Images published on WorthFighting.org should include accurate alternative text (alt text) for accessibility and, when available, attribution or credit to the source.

We do not imply that an illustrative or AI-generated image is a genuine photograph of an event. Illustrations and AI-generated images are clearly labeled as such in the image credit line.

When we use stock photography, public-domain images, or images from official sources, we attribute them appropriately in the credit line beneath the image.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors and editors at WorthFighting.org should disclose meaningful financial, political, organizational, or personal conflicts connected to their reporting. If an author has a material relationship to a subject they are covering, that relationship should be disclosed to readers.

We do not invent conflicts or disclosures. If an author has no relevant conflict to disclose, no disclosure statement is shown.

Author profiles may include an optional disclosure statement when applicable.

Reader Feedback and Error Reports

Readers who believe they have found an error in an article can report it using the "Report an Error" form available on every article page. Reports are reviewed by our editorial team.

Each report includes the reader's name and email (which are not published), the article URL, a description of the possible error, and an optional supporting source link.

Reports are tracked through the following statuses: New, Reviewing, Corrected, No Change Required, and Closed. If a correction is made as a result of a reader report, it will appear on our Corrections page.

Author Accountability

Every article should link to a real Author profile when an Author record exists. Author profiles display the author's name, role, biography, location (at the city or state level only), areas of interest, date joined, published articles, and relevant social links.

Authors may include an optional disclosure statement on their profile when they have a relevant conflict to disclose.

We do not create fake author credentials, education records, professional experience, awards, or affiliations. Author biographies contain only accurate, verified information.
