The light-show season spans multiple weeks; the other rows describe individual event dates. For Seneca’s nightly lights and Westminster’s remaining event details, see announcements still being completed.

November 29: Celtic Angels Christmas in Walhalla

Sunday, November 29, 2026, at 3 p.m. · Walhalla Performing Arts Center, 101 East North Broad Street.

The venue’s official ticket page confirms the holiday performance and lists tickets at $44–$64 including fees at review. Check availability and current pricing there. Reach the listing through the Performing Arts Center’s calendar as well. This is a ticketed indoor performance, a useful option when planning around outdoor holiday activities.

November 30: Seneca Magic of Christmas Parade

Monday, November 30, 2026, at 6 p.m.

The City of Seneca’s 2026 parade page confirms the start time. Participants must register online by November 20 at midnight; the city says entry is free and unregistered entries will be turned away.

Participant check-in and lineup begin at 4 p.m. at the Old Seneca Middle School, entering off E Perkins. That is a participant instruction, not a verified spectator route. Consult the city for current viewing and traffic arrangements before choosing where to park.

December 1–January 10: Oconee State Park lights

Announced season: December 1, 2026–January 10, 2027 · Mountain Rest.

Visit Oconee’s October 23 holiday guide announces these dates and describes a drive-through display along the lake-loop campground. The park is at 624 State Park Road.

Light-show-specific nightly hours, entry arrangements and charges were not established in this review. Check the park’s official events page or call 864-638-5353 before a dedicated trip. Ordinary daytime park hours should not be substituted for a holiday light-show schedule.

December 4: Walhalla Christmas Tree Lighting

The city’s revised 2026 event calendar, linked from its events page, lists Friday, December 4. A current 2026 start time and exact gathering location were not verified.

The separate tree-lighting page still displayed a 2025 flyer at review. Its time should not be carried forward into this year’s plan.

December 4: Westminster Christmas Parade

Westminster’s October 23 city report lists the parade for December 4, 2026, with time to be determined (PDF page 4). Confirm the route and arrival instructions through the city calendar. The Westminster guide covers nearby stops.

December 5: Holiday Cheer at Oconee State Park

Saturday, December 5, 2026, 4–5 p.m. · Park Office Meeting Room, 624 State Park Road, Mountain Rest.

The park’s event listing confirms seasonal refreshments, music and a holiday craft. The program is free with park admission. That wording does not mean park entry itself is free.

This is a separate event from the light-show season. Check the park page for admission and any updated arrangements before visiting.

December 5: Walhalla Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 5 p.m.

The city’s 2026 parade announcement gives the theme as Christmas Traditions Through the Decades. It identifies the City Green beside Arby’s as the filming and judging location, while saying additional route details will be posted or emailed.

The current introduction and 2026 entry form request applications by Friday, November 13, at 5 p.m. One lower rules line still prints a 2025 deadline. Participants should use the current form and confirm any conflicting instructions with the city contact shown on that page.

December 5: A Lunney Christmas

December 5, 2026, 5–8 p.m. · Lunney Museum. The city museum department announces a free Christmas drop-in with refreshments and acoustic music. No RSVP is required; a cash bar is available.

December 8–10: Lunney Museum Candlelight Tours

December 8–10, 2026, 6–7:30 p.m. The museum listing gives a $5 price and requires reservations. Tickets are announced for November; check the organizer before booking.

December 12: Twas the Night Before Christmas

December 12, 2026, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. · Lunney Museum. The department’s announcement lists a free drop-in with Santa and Mrs. Claus, plus a children’s book and goodie bag.

December 12: Frosty’s Night Ride at Stumphouse

The city’s 2026 calendar lists Saturday, December 12, at Stumphouse Mountain Park. The date is announced; a current start time, participation requirements and registration process were not verified.

Use the city’s Frosty’s Night Ride page for the next event-specific update before making plans.

December 13: Cookies with Santa in Walhalla

The 2026 city calendar lists Sunday, December 13. A current time, venue and registration opening were not verified.

The Cookies with Santa page still says the 2025 event is full. That message does not establish whether 2026 registration is available or sold out.

Seneca lights and Westminster: details to confirm

Seneca’s nightly light show: Visit Oconee’s October 23 guide says the downtown display starts November 30 and continues into early January. A complete city-issued 2026 nightly schedule and exact closing date were not verified here. Use Seneca’s official website for current event notices. The parade’s 6 p.m. start is not a nightly light-show operating time.

Westminster’s parade and tree lighting: The parade date is now listed above. Its start time, route and 2026 tree-lighting details remain unverified; check the city calendar.

These pending details are not cancellation notices. They identify what readers should confirm before arranging travel, tickets or group outings.

Plan a holiday outing in Oconee County

Choose the event and verified time first, then arrange meals, parking and travel around it. Check the organizer again on the day for weather changes, access instructions and availability. Event fees, park admission and food costs can be separate.

For local places to eat or shop, browse Oconee’s new businesses and restaurants and the Thornwell Village feature. If your route uses East North First Street in Seneca, read the Highway 130 construction update and check current state traffic information.

Find more reporting through the Oconee County hub and local news directory.

For addresses and a flexible outing plan, see the Downtown Seneca guide and things to do across Oconee County. The city directory places the Lunney Museum at 211 W South 1st Street, Seneca.

For meals, shops and parking near other events, use the Walhalla guide and Westminster guide. Event closures can change normal access.

For a daytime outing before a holiday event, compare the Lake Keowee guide and Salem/Lake Jocassee guide. Devils Fork on Jocassee and Oconee State Park in Mountain Rest are different destinations. An evening event at one park does not extend another park’s gate hours.

The Mountain Rest guide covers daytime trails and hatchery visits near Oconee State Park. Hatchery closing time is not extended by an evening park event. For Long Creek, check seasonal food service: Chattooga Belle Farm announces its bistro’s seasonal closing on Halloween, so do not assume it is a December meal stop.

Sources and update history

This guide uses city announcements, the venue’s own ticket listing, South Carolina State Parks and Visit Oconee. A 2026 calendar can establish a date without establishing a time, cost or reservation requirement; those distinctions are shown in each entry.

October 27, 2026 — First edition. Reviewed eight dated listings and identified outstanding details for Seneca and Westminster. Older 2025 flyers and full-registration notices are not treated as 2026 schedules. This page is a dated editorial guide, not an automated event feed.

For a correction, send the event name, year and a public organizer link through Corrections.

October 27, 2026 — Phase 3 refresh. Added three confirmed Lunney Museum holiday programs, bringing this guide to eleven dated listings. Rechecked the city parade and park notices; the existing schedule limitations remain identified above. Added links to both visitor guides.

October 27, 2026 — Phase 4 refresh. Added the Westminster parade date, bringing the calendar to twelve listings. Rechecked city, museum, venue and state-park pages; older Walhalla event flyers still do not establish 2026 times or registration. Added both new downtown guides.

October 27, 2026 — Phase 5 refresh. Rechecked Seneca’s parade application, the museum program page and Westminster’s latest reviewed report. The calendar remains at twelve dated listings. Added lake-day planning links and distinguished Devils Fork from the Oconee State Park holiday venue.

For forest outings beyond the lakes and downtowns, compare Mountain Rest parks, hatchery and waterfalls with Long Creek, Chattooga rafting and food stops. These are separate driving trips; check the destination’s own access notice.

October 28, 2026 — Phase 6 refresh. Rechecked Seneca’s parade page, the museum program page and the park’s Holiday Cheer listing. Their dates and times above remain supported, including Holiday Cheer on December 5, 4–5 p.m., free with park admission. Westminster’s report index still lists October 23 as the latest reviewed report. No new parade time, light-show nightly schedule or holiday registration availability was established. The calendar remains at twelve listings; other source checks retain their earlier dates.
