Seven verified business and museum stops, plus parking and event resources.
Start around Ram Cat Alley
Visit Oconee’s historic-district guide identifies Ram Cat Alley as a concentration of shops, restaurants and community activity. Use the addresses below to select your stops, then check the operator’s current hours.

The museum addresses come from the city’s department directory; Dear Rosie’s address is also published on its own site. This list is a starting point, not a complete downtown business inventory.
Parking and event-night access
Vangeli’s visitor guidance describes free parking on Ram Cat Alley, adjoining streets and near the train depot. It notes that Ram Cat Alley parking is unavailable on Thursdays after 5 p.m. for Jazz on the Alley.
Treat that as a local business’s practical guidance, then follow current posted signs and the city’s event notices. Seasonal event dates, temporary closures and reserved spaces can change access. This review did not establish a current citywide parking map or an inventory of accessible spaces.
Choose a legal space before beginning your walk. If step-free access or a nearby drop-off point is essential, ask your destination about its entrance and the closest suitable parking. If approaching via East North First Street, consult the Highway 130 construction update.
Vangeli’s Bistro: dinner on Ram Cat Alley
119 Ram Cat Alley. The restaurant’s website provides its menu and reservation link. Posted dinner hours are Tuesday–Thursday 5–9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 5–9:30 p.m.
Plan your reservation around any event you intend to attend, and check the current menu before deciding. This listing verifies the restaurant and its published details; it is not a scored dining review.
The Spot on the Alley: a restaurant and sports-bar stop
122 Ram Cat Alley. The Spot’s own site lists its location, menu and ordering options, with food, games and entertainment described on the page.
Use the operator’s live hours for the day you visit. Recurring activities on business websites can outlast a particular season, so verify the actual event date before building an evening around it.
Keowee Brewing Company: continue along East Main
401 E Main Street. The brewery’s contact page confirms the address. Its hours page distinguishes taproom and kitchen service: the kitchen opens with the taproom and closes 30 minutes earlier.
This is an additional East Main Street stop to consider if you want a meal or taproom visit. Check current service times rather than assuming every downtown kitchen remains open through an evening event.
Drizzle on the Alley: specialty food and gifts
103 Ram Cat Alley. Drizzle’s website lists olive oils, balsamic vinegars, seasonings and artisan products. Posted hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with Sunday and Monday closed; the operator also notes Jazz on the Alley openings.
Use its current site for seasonal hours and product availability.
Dear Rosie Boutique: North Townville Street shopping
115 N Townville Street. The boutique’s website provides its clothing selection and in-store hours, and its address page identifies the North Townville location. The official tourism directory also lists it as a downtown shop.
At review, the store lists Tuesday–Saturday opening days, including a later Thursday closing. Recheck the daily schedule before making it your final stop.
Lunney Museum: plan for a Tuesday or Wednesday
211 W South 1st Street. The museum department posts Tuesday–Wednesday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. for the historic house museum.
The city directory also asks visitors to arrange tours through the department. Call 864-885-1954 about admission, bookings and access needs. Holiday programs are listed separately in the Oconee holiday guide.
Bertha Lee Strickland Cultural Museum: Thursday or Friday
208 W South 2nd Street. The museum page posts Thursday–Friday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. and describes its focus on local African American history and culture.
Confirm arrangements at 864-885-2705. The posted schedule differs from the Lunney Museum’s, so an ordinary weekday visit may include one museum rather than both.
Public art, Jazz on the Alley and seasonal events
The Blue Ridge Arts Center’s community-project page describes painted steel cats placed around downtown as a public-art search. It offers an activity to weave into a walk; this guide does not claim that every original piece remains in its original location.
For music and city celebrations, start with Seneca’s official events page. It currently links the October 2026 Jazz on the Alley schedule. Check the dated city announcement for performances; do not assume the seasonal series runs every Thursday throughout winter.
For November and December plans, see the 2026 holiday events guide, now including the Lunney Museum’s announced Christmas programs. The city museum department’s events page is the source for its own registration requirements.
A suggested downtown walking plan
This is a flexible sequence, not a measured route or an accessibility assessment.
- Start on Ram Cat Alley. Browse Drizzle and look for public art while the shops are open.
- Add North Townville Street. Check Dear Rosie’s hours and choose any other stops from the official historic-district directory.
- Choose a meal. Stay near the alley for The Spot or a Vangeli’s reservation, or add the East Main Street leg to Keowee Brewing.
- Fit history to the visiting day. Arrange a Lunney or Strickland museum visit, then plan the rest of your outing around that appointment.
- Add an announced event. Use the city’s actual date and start time, leaving room for parking and any street restrictions.
Select fewer stops if the weather, walking distance or your group’s mobility makes a shorter outing preferable. Use posted pedestrian crossings and confirm entrances with each destination.
