Use the operator links below for a current visit. These are selected destinations, not a claim that every shop is new or open at every hour.

El Charro Mexican-Grill: a Main Street meal

102 E Main Street. The restaurant’s website lists Sunday 11 a.m.–9 p.m., Monday–Thursday 11 a.m.–10 p.m., and Friday–Saturday 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. It provides its own menu and ordering link. Check the operator’s current listing for holiday hours and contact details before a group meal.

Park Place Drive-in: confirm the seasonal schedule

102 W North Avenue · 864-613-2034. Park Place’s site identifies its location beside the city park and links its menu. The displayed 11 a.m.–10 p.m., seven-day schedule is labeled summer hours in the locations section. Confirm autumn and winter hours directly rather than treating that seasonal schedule as a year-round promise.

The Bluebird Nest: boutique and market

136 E Main Street. The shop’s own website offers clothing, gifts and home goods and invites in-person visits. Published hours are Tuesday–Thursday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Use the current operator page rather than older third-party directories with different closing times.

Moon’s: a downtown gift-shopping stop

132 E Main Street · 864-647-5941. The operator’s website posts Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturday 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m., and Sunday closed. Its gift-department page provides examples of seasonal merchandise. This listing is for a shopping visit; ask the business separately about any service appointment or product availability.

General Store Museum: plan around its shorter week

126 E Main Street · 864-647-9550. The museum operator lists Thursday–Friday 11 a.m.–4 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Its displays draw on England’s General Merchandise store and the wider Westminster area. Confirm admission and special arrangements with the museum. A Saturday visit fits best before the afternoon closing time.

Historic Westminster Depot

The city’s history and visitor page describes Westminster’s railroad origins and the depot’s restoration after a 2007 fire. Use it as a downtown landmark, with the museum and Main Street shops as separate stops. A restored historic building is not necessarily open for unscheduled interior tours; ask the city about access or rentals before arranging a group visit.

Westminster Music Centre: indoor venue and Music on Main

The operator’s FAQ announces the indoor venue open for fall 2026. Check the venue calendar for individual shows.

Confirm your entrance: the FAQ contains both a 216 E Main Street contact address and older renovation text naming 224 E Main Street. The business directory also records the opening.

Parking and event access

For Music on Main, the organizer lists free street and depot-lot parking, plus accessible event restrooms at 220 Main Street. Confirm availability and entrances for your visit; follow posted restrictions.

Upcoming events and holiday dates

The October 23 city report lists Boo on Main: October 30, 2026, 6–8 p.m., and Christmas parade: December 4, time pending (PDF page 4). Check the city calendar before traveling.

The city visitor page describes a tree lighting after the parade at Retreat Street Park. A 2026 time remains unverified. See the holiday guide for seasonal planning.

A simple shopping-and-history itinerary

  1. Choose a day when the General Store Museum and your preferred shops overlap; Thursday, Friday or early Saturday fits their published regular schedules.
  2. Start with the depot area and Main Street shopping, then visit the museum before it closes.
  3. Add a meal at El Charro or check Park Place’s seasonal hours for a food-and-treats stop.
  4. Stay for a concert only when a dated event is announced.

This is an editorial sequence, not a timed tour or an accessibility assessment. Use marked crossings and current signs. Add Chau Ram or another county attraction as a separate driving outing, with its own hours and fees.
