Gwinnett County Immigration Enforcement & HB 1105 Jail Reports
A documented jail-report series, a separate ICE roster question, and links to Gwinnett's public records.
September report located; no sheriff row in the October 2 ICE snapshot
Gwinnett's official report for June 30–September 29, 2026 records 579 immigration detainers. The five-page PDF is signed September 30; the archive labels it September 29. No Gwinnett sheriff 287(g) entry was located in the October 2 workbook. The public detainer figures show why that roster result must not be read as “no ICE cooperation.”
Sheriff, jail and ICE cooperation
The report identifies Sheriff Keybo Taylor and the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office in Lawrenceville. It is the sheriff's jail reporting record, not a report for every police department within Gwinnett.
In its July 29, 2025 public statement, the office said ICE initiates immigration detainers and described its role under HB 1105. Treat that as the office's dated account. It does not establish the outcome of every custody case or a later agreement application.
287(g): no sheriff or other Gwinnett-tagged local row was located in the retained October 2, 2026 workbook. Pending application: unknown. The absence is not evidence that an application was rejected or that the county violates HB 1105.
Latest verified report: June 30–September 29, 2026
Read the official five-page report. The agency's first-page figures are:
| Report measure | Reported value |
|---|---|
| Total number of inmates — agency's label | 6,895 |
| LESC inquiries | 1,791 |
| LESC responses received | 1,786 |
| Responses identifying unlawful presence | 768 |
| Immigration detainers issued | 579 |
The report's first category says “Total Number of Inmates”; this tracker preserves that label rather than asserting a unique-person count. The period starts June 30, not July 1. The 579 detainers are not a deportation total, and the response figures do not describe the immigration status of Gwinnett's general population.
The PDF also supplies immigration-status, offense and home-country tables. Those categories have different denominators; we do not convert them into a local crime rate or combine them into a count of unique offenders.
Signature, archive and completeness
Page five contains an immigration liaison's signed accuracy certification dated September 30, 2026. The archive's September 29 label is kept separate from that signature date. A signed accuracy statement is recorded as agency evidence; this tracker does not certify that it independently satisfies every statutory affidavit or supervision requirement.
The official archive also lists June 29 and March 29, 2026, plus 2025 records. That series creates an update trail even without a current 287(g) sheriff row. The next expected publication should be monitored around late December based on that cadence; this is an editorial expectation, not a statutory deadline assigned to Gwinnett.
To resolve a missing filing or an affidavit question, use the sheriff's open-records forms and specify the period and document. No records request was sent as part of this publication.

Annual filing and compliance status
The 2026 annual immigration compliance report is due December 31, 2026 for covered entities. Its reporting period is December 1, 2025–November 30, 2026, so the period is still open at this October 7 review. A quarterly jail publication does not establish that the annual filing was submitted. DOAA guidance.
No agency-specific DOAA finding or 2026 annual submission receipt was verified for this tracker. Annual filing: not yet due; submission unverified. Overall HB 1105 compliance: not determined. Pending 287(g) application: unknown. A missing roster row or inaccessible report cannot resolve those questions.
The Georgia statewide guide explains why a county government's sanctuary-policy certification and a sheriff's certification must be kept separate.
Next records to watch
Check the sheriff's next quarterly publication, its sworn affidavit and any corrected figures.
