REPUBLICAN RESOURCES · SOUTH CAROLINA
Oconee County, SC Republican Organizations, Officials & Public Records
A source-linked directory of Republican organizations and separate government resources for following Oconee County, South Carolina public policy.
Verified directory · Independent publication
Verified organizations
| Organization | Documented role | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Oconee County Republican Party | County Republican Party in South Carolina | County party website |
| Oconee County Republican Men | Republican organization with an educational mission | OCRM website |
| Oconee County Republican Women | Republican women's organization, linked by the county party | OCRW website |
The party's affiliate directory is a useful gateway to additional organizations. The links above were reviewed October 11, 2026. Each organization's site supplies its own changing leadership, membership and event details.
An organization's old or recurring event listing is not confirmation of a future meeting. This directory covers Oconee County, South Carolina; Georgia's county and party are separate.
Pro-life organizations
The Oconee County Citizens for Life chapter is listed by South Carolina Citizens for Life. It is an advocacy organization, distinct from the county party and from pregnancy-support services.
Our right-to-life resolution and pro-life resources guide pairs that chapter listing with the council's historical 2021 resolution and Foothills Care Center's stated services. The resolution is not treated as a county abortion ban.
Elected officials and their separate responsibilities
| Public body / office | Dated official information | Primary source |
|---|---|---|
| County Council | September 15, 2026 minutes list Elliott, Durham, Mize, James and Hart for Districts 1–5 respectively | Minutes; current officials/contact page |
| Sheriff | The February 17, 2026 committee minutes identify Sheriff Mike Crenshaw as the reporting official | Committee record; sheriff program guide |
| SDOC Board of Trustees | District page lists Holder, Ketterman, Sloan, McCormick and Swain for Districts 1–5 respectively | Current district board page; school decision guide |
These are public-office references, not assertions of party affiliation or candidate endorsements. County council districts and school-board districts are separate systems; an officeholder list does not determine an individual resident's representation.
The elected-official accountability guide now joins district and committee responsibilities to named public actions and vote-source pages.
2026 elections and official voter resources
The Oconee County, South Carolina election guide links the November 3 notice, Walhalla early-voting location, official ballot/precinct lookup and the separate Walhalla special election. Election administration belongs to the public election authorities; party and affiliate organizations have separate roles. The guide supplies factual civic information without assuming a reader’s party preference.
Public-record and meeting gateways
| Need | Official starting point | What the record can answer |
|---|---|---|
| Council vote or ordinance | Council agendas and minutes | A proposed agenda item versus a recorded action |
| Sheriff report to council committee | Law Enforcement committee archive | Dated presentation or committee action |
| County records not already posted | County FOIA instructions | How to request existing county records |
| School vote or policy | SDOC meeting index and policy manual | Board approval and the separate policy text |
| District records not already posted | SDOC FOIA instructions | District's own request procedure |
The county and school district maintain separate records. A useful request identifies the existing document, subject and date range. Public-record procedures do not guarantee disclosure of protected student, personnel or case information. The council register and school guide identify specific documents still needed for this coverage.
The public-records and budget document library adds direct locators for the FY 2026–27 budget ordinances, selected departmental budgets, financial records and the local-vendor preference document chain.
Public-policy context
For public-policy context on issues covered by these organizations, see the Oconee County local hub for immigration enforcement, the DEI ordinance, school board and parental rights resources.
This directory links to the county issue resources for public-policy context. Worth Fighting reports from a conservative editorial perspective while separating official facts, party statements and organizational positions.
