Parent catalog access and checkout controls

Open the catalog

Use the Library section of the child’s campus website to enter its catalog. The parent instructions use the primary guardian email stored in Frontline to obtain a Destiny access code. Once linked, choose the child if more than one is listed, then view checkouts or search the collection.

Set a child’s restrictions

The parent guide explains how to use the three-dot menu on a title to block checkout, and the Blocked view to remove a block. Checkout emails go to the primary email in the student record. If access fails, first check the guardian email in registration and contact the district help desk through the instructions.

Acquisitions, challenges and council participation

Acquisition and public-comment process

The Library Media Services page lists September 10–October 10, 2026 for public comments on proposed additions. After public review, SLAC makes recommendations and the board votes. The October 19, 2026 council meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center, 3201 Avenue Q, Door 4; it was still a future meeting on the baseline date.

Challenge or reconsideration

The parent/community page links the district challenge form. It states that challenged titles are temporarily removed from shelves and the online catalog during review, that the challenge goes to SLAC within five days, and that SLAC recommends within 90 days. This is temporary unavailability, not a final removal.

Council, appointments and petitions

The district publishes council agendas, minutes and recordings from November 2025 through May 2026, with future dates listed. May 13 minutes document title recommendations. The council page also lists an August 19, 2026 board appeal agenda; an agenda proves scheduled consideration, not its result. A qualifying petition or certification was not located.
