District tracker
Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools (USD 500) Parental Rights & Student Privacy Tracker
DOJ filed a FERPA/PPRA complaint against USD 500. The filing seeks relief; it does not prove the court granted an injunction or entered judgment. The district's earlier joint response disputes the use of a 2017 presentation as if it were an adopted policy.
Agency allegations, findings, district responses and court orders are labeled separately. Unknown means not established by the records reviewed.

Direct answers and FAQ
Can parents request gender-support records?
Request existing maintained records directly related to the child, including relevant plans and communications. Whether a specific item qualifies depends on FERPA's definition and exceptions. The lawsuit does not substitute for a written records request.
Does this page establish actual compliance in every school?
No. Policies, agency determinations, district statements and implementation are separate evidence categories. Open records gaps are identified rather than resolved by inference.
