Local coverage and public records
Start with the Bedford County ICE / 287(g) tracker for the sheriff’s signed agreement, federal participation record, Tennessee’s January 2027 deadline and the documents still needed to measure local activity.
This hub covers Bedford County, Tennessee, including Shelbyville. It organizes county and city records by the body responsible for a decision. A city planning item, county commission action and school board policy are different records and should be checked separately.
Research baseline: October 6, 2026. Published trackers cover immigration enforcement and growth/development. Religious-instruction coverage remains a research section; no school-program launch is asserted.
Immigration enforcement and county government
Published: Bedford County ICE / 287(g) tracker.
ICE’s October 2 roster lists the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office under the Warrant Service Officer model, with an agreement date of February 18, 2026. The tracker links the signed document and distinguishes the sheriff who signed it from the current officeholder. It explains what the records establish and why participation is not a count of arrests, transfers or payments.
Read the federal roster, current county sheriff page and Tennessee CIED page. For wider context, visit WorthFighting’s immigration hub and the Doddridge County ICE / 287(g) tracker. Each county’s agreement and financial records require separate verification.
Development, zoning and infrastructure
Published: Shelbyville & Bedford County Growth and Development Tracker.
Track Remington Farms, South Cannon Boulevard rezonings, Highway 231 sewer funding, US 41A / Colloredo concepts, city infrastructure authorizations and county subdivision/planning actions. Each record shows its decision date, original source, location and missing evidence.
The May 14 council minutes report final Remington PUD approval and 480 homes. The August 11 county minutes authorize a $10 million state-grant transfer for sewer expansion. Approval, funding authorization, permit issuance and completed construction remain distinct statuses.
Schools and released-time religious instruction
Research section — program status has not been established for publication. Begin with Bedford County Schools’ board information and policy links and the district’s public meeting archive.
A future tracker will distinguish a petition or organizing effort from board policy, an approved provider arrangement, parental participation procedures and actual school operations. It will record the document date, board action, affected schools, transportation and supervision terms, and the source for each claim.
This hub does not publish a LifeWise signature count, a participating-school count or a launch date. Those figures from earlier planning material have not been independently verified for October 6, 2026. A petition alone would not establish district approval or an operating program.
