Dauphin Island Parkway shooting: mainland location and reported arrest

At a glance

The reported Dauphin Island Parkway shooting occurred on the mainland, not on Dauphin Island itself. The story describes a reported arrest and assault allegation involving a Theodore man. An arrest does not establish guilt, and the available reporting does not establish a later court outcome. Location and incident dates should be checked before treating it as current island crime.

Where did the reported shooting happen?

FOX10’s July 17, 2026 report places the shooting at a home in the 9200 block of Dauphin Island Parkway on the mainland. The street name does not mean the incident occurred in the Town of Dauphin Island.

What did police reportedly allege?

FOX10 attributed to Mobile police a first-degree assault charge against Robert Faircloth Jr., of Theodore, after an alleged shooting during an argument. The report said the injured person was taken to a hospital. These statements describe the original report and do not establish a conviction or a later medical outcome.

What remains unverified?

This review did not establish a later court disposition or present custody status. A current docket or order would be needed to update those points. A single incident also cannot establish a comparative island crime rate.
