Fact-Check Methodology
We believe the truth is on our side. Our reporting is backed by primary sources, verifiable evidence, and a rigorous fact-checking process.
Our Verification Process
Every article published on WorthFighting.org follows this six-step fact-checking methodology before it reaches our readers.
1. Primary Source Verification
Every claim is traced back to its primary source — legislation text, court opinions, government data, or official statements. We do not rely on secondhand reporting or anonymous sources without independent corroboration.
2. Multi-Source Cross-Referencing
Significant claims are verified against at least two independent sources. When sources conflict, we present both perspectives and explain the discrepancy to our readers.
3. Context & Accuracy Review
Facts are checked for accuracy and context. We ensure quotes are not deceptively edited, statistics are presented with proper context, and claims are not stripped of important nuance.
4. Editorial Review
All published content undergoes editorial review before publication. Editors verify that claims are properly sourced, context is accurate, and the reporting meets our standards for fairness and accuracy.
5. Corrections & Updates
When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Readers can report errors by emailing editor@worthfighting.org with the subject line 'CORRECTION'. All corrections are noted on the article with the date and description of the change.
6. Ongoing Updates
Developing stories are updated as new information becomes available. We clearly mark updates and note when previous versions contained inaccurate or outdated information.
Source Standards & Editorial Boundaries
