Matthew Rugger

Matthew Rugger is a Junior Correspondent at WorthFighting.org, covering conservative politics, grassroots activism, and stories that matter to everyday Americans. Based in Illinois, Matthew brings a grounded, heartland perspective to his reporting — one shaped by his deep appreciation for faith, family, and the values that built small-town America. Matthew developed a passion for politics at an early age, inspired by the principles of limited government, constitutional liberty, and individual responsibility. He believes that an informed electorate is the foundation of a free republic, and he is committed to bringing readers clear, honest coverage of the issues shaping our nation. When he's not writing, Matthew enjoys spending time with his children, following conservative politics, and appreciating all things John Deere green. His roots in rural Illinois give him a unique appreciation for the hardworking families who keep this country running — and he's proud to be their voice at WorthFighting.org.
